RIP Monty Sunshine (1928-2010)
From Lance Liddle's Bebop Spoken Here blog today comes the sad news that clarinettist Monty Sunshine died yesterday at the age of 82. Here he is in 1990, conjuring up sweet tone from his Albert system instrument. A lengthy biography of this important figure from the trad scene is on Chris Barber's site.
